27 languages, one upload

Dub a video into another language without re-shooting it

Upload a video, pick the languages, get back the same video speaking each one. The timing is rebuilt so the new voice fits the cut, and captions come with it.

Straight answer: This re-voices what was said; it does not put the original speaker’s own voice into the new language, and it does not move their lips to match. A presenter-led video will sound right and look slightly off-sync. For narration, b-roll and explainers - which is most of what gets dubbed - that gap does not show.

What you get

The same video, in a language you do not speak

The script is translated, re-voiced, and the audio is re-fitted to the existing edit rather than pasted over it. A sentence that runs longer in the new language does not run past its scene.

Captions are regenerated in the new language too, because a dubbed video with the old subtitles is worse than no subtitles.

Twenty-seven languages, including the ones most videos actually get dubbed into: Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Arabic, Japanese.

How Chitrio does this: Dubbing runs on a finished render or an upload, so videos you made elsewhere can be dubbed here.

Why it is worth doing

The cheapest audience you will ever add

A video that already works has done the expensive part: the idea, the script, the edit. Dubbing reuses all of it and changes only the narration.

The alternative is making the video again in another language, which costs what the first one cost - or hiring a voice artist per language, which is where most people stop.

How Chitrio does this: Each language is charged separately, so you can add one, see whether that audience responds, and only then add the rest.

When not to use it

Where dubbing is the wrong tool

If the person on camera is the point - a founder’s message, a piece to camera, anything where the face carries the trust - dubbing will feel wrong, because the mouth and the words disagree.

If the video is full of on-screen text in the original language, dubbing the audio leaves the screen still speaking the old one.

Narration over visuals is where this is invisible, and that is most tutorials, listicles, explainers and product videos.

How Chitrio does this: For a presenter-led video, an AI avatar recorded directly in the target language will read better than a dub of the original.

In one line

Dubbing is the one growth lever that does not need a new idea. The video already works; this is just letting more people watch it.
